Rosalyn began line dancing in 2002 while working as a primary school teacher. After over 15 years as a teacher it was with great pleasure that she was able to combine her love of line dancing with her training as a teacher and become a line dancing instructor.
She has now been an instructor for over five years and work in the northern suburbs of Sydney. She teaches all levels from Beginner to Advanced in her four weekly classes.
Several years ago, she started hosting monthly socials at Turramurra working with her partner, Richard, who is her DJ. Socials are a great way to put into practice all the hard work we do in classes. It also gives students a chance to meet dancers from other classes in the area.
Rosalyn and her students are also very involved in fundraising activities for Ronald McDonald House and find having this worthwhile focus is also a great way to bring everyone together and help us to get to know each other better.
She has often been able to assist other instructors by taking their classes for them if they are unavailable to teach and have formed some great relationships with her fellow instructors, meeting up frequently at socials, balls and other events.
Line dancing is a fabulous way to have some regular exercise, meet wonderful friends, enjoy different genres of music and dancing styles, keep your brain active – and generally to keep you feeling good.
Rosalyn will be teaching intermediate Line Dancing classes on board Cruisin’ Country 2019, along with hosting socials throughout the cruise.
