When you hear people talk about Brad Butcher as an Australian Songwriter, or more importantly as a person, the same few words are thrown around … Honest, Genuine, Hardworking… and Brad’s hard work is now receiving the accolades he so richly deserves being awarded the NEW TALENT OF THE YEAR at the 2018 Golden Guitar Awards of Australia, held in Tamworth NSW, and the 2018 Queensland Music Award – Country Song of the Year. Brad was also a finalist in the National Live Music Awards of 2018 and was named 1 of 4 Aussie Artists to watch out for in 2019 by CMC’s Tim Daley.
Brad Butcher’s third studio album, FROM THE BOTTOM OF A WELL, was recorded with highly acclaimed and multi award winning Australian producer Matt Fell, at Sydney’s Love Hz Studio, and encompasses Butchers take on an evolving country music landscape to create a sound that is uniquely his.
2018 was a breakout year for Butcher who released his third album in August of 2017 to wide spread praise from the Australian music industry. The album peaked at #4 on the iTunes Country Albums Chart and features the award winning single Well Dressed Man, title track From The Bottom Of A Well and HIT SINGLE – Crawl, Beg & Cry.
(Crawl, Beg & Cry spent 6 months in 2018 in the Music Network Australian Country Radio airplay chart peaking at #2 and was also the 2ndhighest played song on Australian Country Radio in the first half of 2018. It also reached #4 on the Country Music Channel Top 30 Countdown.)
In today’s digital age, an ‘Aussie” artist like Brad Butcher is part of a dying breed. You see Brad isn’t about writing to please a certain demographic nor aiming for fame or fortune. Brad is about telling his story in the only way he knows, with honesty, in his unique writing quality and with a refreshing view of his world. Above all though, Brads songs share a message of hope and inspiration within that is attracting an ever growing audience.
FROM THE BOTTOM OF A WELL cements Butcher at the forefront of a new generation of Australian story tellers.
