Writing original music and performing some favorite covers is taking husband and wife duo THE MUIRS on an incredible journey they never imagined.
After being “discovered” by Chad Morgan back in 2010, Glennys and Ian have perfected a sound of their own, with harmonies that take you back to another time and place yet still remain contemporary.
THE MUIRS have just completed recording their second album, re-working four original songs plus giving personal treatment to songs from some of their favorite artists. After a recent spot on television performing the title track from the album ‘Salt On My Pillow’, have gathered new fans as well as receiving re-newed interest from radio.
With performances at all the major festivals around the country in the last couple of years THE MUIRS have established a growing fan base, people who appreciate a more traditional style of country/roots music.
Playing the Airlie Beach Music Festival and The Woodford Festival are just two of the many highlights for 2016. Other important events being our first television appearance on The Marngrook Footy Show, two tours of Tasmania and various trips down south to NSW, Victoria and South Australia with THE CHAD MORGAN SHOW
